Overnight Asleep-Direct Support Professional (DSP)-Adult Residential Services

The Role

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. You will assist with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings while fostering independence, promoting well‑being, and helping them connect with their communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support with personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community outings.
• Foster independence by helping individuals develop life skills and make choices.
• Promote social inclusion by supporting participation in community activities.
• Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating empathy and patience.
• Collaborate effectively with a supportive team of DSPs, supervisors, and families.

Requirements

• Valid NYS Driver’s License held for at least 18 months with a clean driving history.
• Successful completion of Brightway Living and Learning Transportation Orientation.

Pay

Hourly rate $17.00. New hires who do not meet the driver‑license criteria will be offered a rate starting at $19.00 per hour.

Schedule

Part‑time, 34 hours per week. Shifts: Thursday 9 pm – 7 am; Friday and Saturday 9 pm – 9 am.
