About the Role
As Chief of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, you will serve as a key member of the medical center's leadership team, providing executive oversight for clinical and anatomic pathology operations, laboratory quality management, and strategic planning. This position offers a unique blend of clinical excellence, administrative leadership, mentorship, and healthcare system transformation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee clinical and anatomic pathology operations
- Manage laboratory quality and regulatory compliance
- Lead laboratory managers, quality managers, and section chiefs
- Direct transfusion medicine, hematology, microbiology, chemistry, molecular diagnostics, cytology, surgical pathology, and point-of-care testing
- Develop and implement strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide consultation and collaboration with medical staff across the healthcare system
- Oversee laboratory services across multiple care locations
