Outsourced Agency Bookkeeper - Applied Epic

The purpose of the Outsourced Agency Bookkeeper position is to provide high-quality bookkeeping services for KiteTech’s Applied Epic insurance agency clients who do not have the internal resources to hire and manage accounting staff. This position works in collaboration with the KiteTech Bookkeeping Team Lead to understand client needs and execute bookkeeping services effectively. The role includes access to accounting expertise and management support, but requires strong self-management, organization, and ownership of daily work. Expectations and ResponsibilitiesAssist KiteTech accounting resource in determining agency’s bookkeeping needs and establishing a schedule and time commitment necessary to meet those needs.Independently perform key bookkeeping tasks including entering receipts/disbursements, reconciling premium payables, direct bill commission recording, reconciling bank statements, payroll recording, and performing month-end closing tasks, like journal entries and monthly financial reporting.Manage company, broker, and vendor payables and/or work with client to coordinate payments.Stay current on Applied Epic bookkeeping best practices and follow established KiteTech standards when performing client bookkeeping tasks.Communicate regularly with clients by email and video calls to address questions, resolve issues, and support a positive client experience.Document work activities in real time to track progress and support accurate client billing.Dedicated, distraction-free workspace with reliable hard-wired high-speed internet. Non-Negotiable Candidate Requirements2+ years of bookkeeping experience working within an insurance agency and/or with the Applied Epic agency management system.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.Experience successfully working independently, as well as collaboratively in a remote environment. Able to stay organized, communicate clearly, and support clients professionally.Comfortable using virtual meeting tools to support a professional remote client experience.Self-motivated, adaptable, and accountable.
