Outside Service Salesperson- Greensboro, NC

About the role

The Service Salesperson is responsible for prospecting and generating Service Revenue for the Service Department as well as developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships with existing clients, including large fleet customers. The Service Salesperson manages the repair expectations for assigned customers to ensure excellent customer service and provide immediate service to trucks, thereby maintaining the customer relationship. The role spends more than 50% of its time outside the office engaging in the selling of Freightliner products.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of Daimler products and pricing
• Identifies leads, manages prospects, and acquires new business
• Meets or exceeds business sales goals
• Completes prospecting activities to secure first and follow-up appointments with decision makers
• Schedules and documents activities
• Prepares and delivers proposals/presentations to customers and key decision makers
• Prepares and drafts sales agreements and other paperwork needed to complete the sale in a timely manner
• Develops and maintains an awareness of the market behavior and competitive trends and responds accordingly
• Regularly meets with supervisor and service managers to review weekly sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers

Customer Service Responsibilities

• Maintains excellent customer service standards
• Resolves customer complaints and provides conflict resolution to customers
• Visits customers to provide and maintain excellent customer relations

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the service department of the trucking industry
• Technician experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication skills
• Must exhibit leadership qualities
• Must exhibit teamwork qualities
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Shows initiative

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to pass post-offer drug screening, physical examination, and background check

Pay

Base salary: $50,000–$65,000 annually, based on experience, plus uncapped commission earning potential of $15,000–$60,000+ per year, with no limit on total earnings.
