Outside Sales Representative- Remote- (Buffalo, NY/Rochester, NY Territory)

Located in Western NY, from Buffalo to Syracuse, this role involves managing sales and marketing efforts within an assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Manage sales and marketing efforts within an assigned territory in Western NY.
- Utilize frequent, direct face-to-face contact and a consultative sales approach to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify and act upon selling opportunities to maximize potential and/or profit.
- Develop new accounts and maintain strong relationships with established customers.
- Partner with Inside Sales Representatives to ensure high-quality service, including on-time delivery according to customer specifications.
Qualifications
- 3+ years related work experience in sales, preferably in a steel service environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration, Marketing, or Engineering) or commensurate sales experience in the steel industry.
- Ability to develop new account relationships and expand business with existing customers.
- Steel product knowledge, general business acumen, and demonstrated customer service aptitude.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel as required by air and land.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated success in negotiations, educating customers about products and services, and closing a sale.
- Experience formulating sales quotes and proposals.
Pay
$80K-100K Base + Quarterly Commission. Compensation based on experience.

The position requires frequent travel by air and land.
