Outside Sales Representative - Cincinnati, OH
About the role
Piedmont Plastics is hiring an Outside Sales Representative for our Cincinnati location. This position will develop new accounts through various methods, provide support to existing accounts, and contribute to the team effort.
Responsibilities
- Develop new accounts through prospecting, networking, cold calling, and referrals.
- Provide sales support to existing accounts, work, and close daily opportunities.
- Continuously expand the customer base by developing and strengthening relationships with new and existing accounts.
- Communicate daily with the sales team/management on the status of orders and customer concerns.
- Maintain and enhance product and technical knowledge in the plastics industry.
- Follow-up on leads and application opportunities.
- Contribute to the team effort.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of outside sales experience in plastics, industrial distribution, or graphics-related sales experience with a track record of exceeding assigned sales goals.
- A personal vehicle in good condition.
- Basic computer skills.
- A willingness and desire to travel almost exclusively and the schedule to allow some overnight travel as well.
- A positive attitude and are a team player!
Qualifications
An ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of outside sales experience in plastics, industrial distribution, or graphics-related sales experience with a track record of exceeding assigned sales goals. Basic computer skills, a personal vehicle in good condition, and a willingness and desire to travel almost exclusively and the schedule to allow some overnight travel as well are also required. A positive attitude and being a team player are essential qualities.
Skills
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
