About the role

We are looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join our Rexel USA team remotely in Livermore, CA!

Responsibilities

  • Sell, market, promote, and demonstrate products.
  • Effectively communicate the features and benefits of our product offering.
  • Increase business by generating sales to new customers and selling additional products to existing customers.
  • Collaborate with leadership, team members, and suppliers in planning, tracking, and implementing sales strategies and developing new markets.
  • Aid customers with product selection and application using knowledge, internal specialists, and supplier representatives.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships.
  • Identify customer objectives, requirements, and preferences to present a unique solution tailored to their business objectives and needs.
  • Collaborate with customers and team members for product quotations and provide ongoing communication throughout the customer's purchasing lifecycle.
  • Resolve payment issues promptly with management, credit, and customers.
  • Gather and report to management information regarding the company, competitors, pricing, products, and current and future market trends.
  • Participate in professional development to improve professional selling skills and maintain technical capabilities.
  • Champion digital tools, customer solutions, and services to gain a competitive advantage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales or electrical industry experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • High School or GED.
  • Ability to exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude with customers and be sensitive to their needs.
  • Customer oriented and motivated with excellent communication, presentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to drive decisions with influence.
  • Product and application knowledge essential.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office as well as relevant ERP systems and Customer Relation Management Tools (CRM).

  • Pay: Commission based, ranging $80,000.00 to $100,000.00, depending upon qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law.
