About the role

We’re growing in Wisconsin! Based out of our DeForest branch, our next Outside Sales Representative will cover the Green Bay and Fox Valley areas, helping us strengthen partnerships and fuel growth in the commercial and industrial markets.

Responsibilities

  • Build and strengthen relationships with contractors, plants, universities, and other customers in your territory.
  • Grow assigned accounts while identifying and onboarding new business.
  • Collaborate with vendors and manufacturer reps to uncover fresh opportunities.
  • Recommend solutions that drive profitability for your customers.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts.
  • Represent Porter Pipe at industry events and associations.
  • Keep CRM records updated and provide sales forecasts and reports.
  • Engage in social engineering—planned relationship-building activities with customers and vendor partners—at least twice weekly (such as lunches, site visits, or events).
  • Manage a flexible schedule that may include occasional evenings, weekends, or overnight travel.

Requirements

  • 4–5 years of outside sales experience (PVF background strongly preferred).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A natural relationship-builder who puts customers first.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the Green Bay & Fox Valley region.
