Responsibilities
- Manage sales and marketing efforts within an assigned territory
- Utilize direct face-to-face contact and a consultative sales approach to ensure customer satisfaction
- Identify and act upon selling opportunities to maximize potential and/or profit
- Develop new accounts and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Partner with Inside Sales Representatives to ensure high-quality service, including on-time delivery according to customer specifications
Qualifications
- 3+ years of related work experience in sales and customer service, preferably in a steel service environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Engineering, or equivalent sales experience in the steel industry
- Ability to develop new account relationships and expand business with existing customers
- Steel product knowledge, general business acumen, and demonstrated customer service skills
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel by air and land, willing to travel as required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to negotiate effectively, educate customers about products and services, and close sales
- Ability to formulate sales quotes and proposals

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The Outside Sales Representative works a flexible schedule, often requiring travel to various locations within the assigned territory.
