Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Generate new business opportunities to increase market share and company profitability.
  • Consult with customers and contractors to identify product needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare and communicate pricing, quotations, delivery schedules, and service commitments.
  • Estimate material quantities from customer and contractor blueprints.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by resolving concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and service existing accounts while identifying opportunities for additional sales.
  • Assist with accounts receivable collections when necessary.
  • Stay current on industry trends, products, and company offerings through ongoing training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Previous sales experience, preferably within the Building Materials, Construction, or related industry.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to learn and effectively utilize company-specific software systems.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude, including the ability to calculate percentages, commissions, discounts, and estimates.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that may include occasional weekends.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
