Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with new and existing customers.
- Generate new business opportunities to increase market share and company profitability.
- Consult with customers and contractors to identify product needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Prepare and communicate pricing, quotations, delivery schedules, and service commitments.
- Estimate material quantities from customer and contractor blueprints.
- Provide exceptional customer service by resolving concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage and service existing accounts while identifying opportunities for additional sales.
- Assist with accounts receivable collections when necessary.
- Stay current on industry trends, products, and company offerings through ongoing training.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.
Qualifications
- Previous sales experience, preferably within the Building Materials, Construction, or related industry.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to learn and effectively utilize company-specific software systems.
- Strong mathematical aptitude, including the ability to calculate percentages, commissions, discounts, and estimates.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that may include occasional weekends.
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
