About the role

As a Pest Control Consultant, you’ll sell the company's industry-leading pest management services and products to new and existing residential customers. You’ll be the face of our national brand in your local community, assessing customers' needs, performing inspections, and selling tailored pest control solutions. This role offers a competitive base salary plus uncapped commission, with expected first-year total earnings of $60,000+ and top performers exceeding $100,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect homes for pests, pest harborage, pest entries, and related issues.
• Sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance plans to residential customers based on assessment findings.
• Collaborate with the Customer Service Center, Inside Sales department, and Technicians to identify revenue opportunities.
• Partner with the Branch Manager to develop revenue streams within the existing customer base.
• Develop proposals for customers to resolve pest issues and enhance household services.
• Complete home diagrams using the Sales CRM to document customer properties and potential challenges.
• Follow up on past proposals to close sales opportunities.
• Provide expert knowledge during new service installations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Complete daily activities and track sales performance using the company’s sales CRM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong social, customer service, and communication skills; sales experience or training is a plus.
• Preferred: 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience.
• Ability to travel up to 100% of the time within assigned territory(s).
• Comfort working with pests (e.g., spiders, rodents) and in small spaces (basements, crawl spaces, attics).
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including OSHA-compliant respirators, and work in confined spaces.

Essential Job Functions

• Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.; frequently handle 11–20 lbs.
• Frequent movement: sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Navigate stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
• Maintain balance on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces.

Pay

• Base pay range: $35,360 – $45,968 yearly (varies by location, skills, education, and experience).
• Total earnings include base salary plus uncapped commission, with first-year expectations of $60,000+ and top performers exceeding $100,000 annually.
• Additional earnings may come from overtime, incentives, commissions, and performance-based route assignments.
