Outside Sales Manager
Roles And Responsibilities
- Mets or exceeds sales goals and profit margin targets established within the market.
- Develops and executes a sales program that reflects a strong understanding of what drives profitability.
- Forecasts sales and profits while being held accountable for performance on a consistent basis.
- Prepares strategically defined sales plans and programs to expand the company’s sales volume aggressively and profitably in its defined markets.
- Makes sales calls to customers to help secure business and improve profitability.
- Trains, coaches, and mentors territory managers to drive sales performance and achieve market share profit objectives.
- Provides the General Manager with regular guidance on pricing, customer service, inventory management, and plant scheduling to achieve volume and margin objectives.
- Builds credibility and trust with current and potential customers by providing excellent customer service and leading by example.
- Drives a culture that will respond quickly to resolve customer concerns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3-5 years sales management experience.
- Professional, leadership-oriented image.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Assertive, competitive, and goal-oriented.
- Willing to travel up to 75% of the time.
Pay
Salary: $114,022 - $160,000 annually plus commission. A starting salary higher than $114K annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.

This is a remote position but the candidate must reside in Iowa.
