Duties and Accountabilities
- Operate a lift truck to pick orders, load and unload trucks and railcars
- Perform inventory control activities to ensure accurate product records
- Serve our customers by providing accurate correspondence on inbound and outbound orders
Qualifications
- Experience operating a forklift to load/unload lumber and steel products
- Experience loading and unloading trucks and railcars using lift truck equipment
- Reliable transportation to report to scheduled shift and travel between facilities as needed
- Demonstrated accuracy in counting and completing paperwork
- Previous knowledge or a desire to learn about the product being handled
- Demonstrated positive, clear, and professional communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
Education and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of previous lift truck experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment
- Lumber and Steel experience is preferred
- Experience in transloading fly ash from a railcar to a truck (preferred)
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work outside the entire shift
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Must be willing and able to slide, push, or pull cases up to 60 pounds
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms that are provided by the company
