About the role
The Forklift Operator position within the Operations department reports directly to the Distribution Manager. This full-time role operates on a 1st shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of overtime.
Responsibilities
- Works flexible hours to support business goals, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

- Participates in pre-shift meetings and department meetings, displays pride in the work area by maintaining daily housekeeping, and assists in all areas and processes as needed.
- Maintains high quality standards despite deadlines, produces accurate, thorough, and professional work, and follows the "Only Handle It Once" (OHIO) principle.
- Fulfills all written and verbal instructions provided by management and reports all issues to supervisors.
- Ensures safety by following all rules, guidelines, and practices, reporting unsafe conditions immediately, and adhering to safety and security policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensures product accuracy and integrity by scanning products correctly, matching item codes, and reporting all damages to supervisors.
- Maintains inventory accuracy and reports discrepancies to supervisors.
- Knowledgeable about multiple accounts and job functions within the given operation.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
- Ability to use a handheld RF Scan Device.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, and reach above shoulder level.
- Experience or willingness to receive training in Food Safety.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- At least one year of related experience in a warehouse or similar setting.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
