Forklift Operator - 1st Shift Monday - Friday - 6:00am - 2:30pm

About the role

The Forklift Operator position within the Operations department reports directly to the Distribution Manager. This full-time role operates on a 1st shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of overtime.

• Fulfills all written and verbal instructions provided by management and reports all issues to supervisors.
• Ensures safety by following all rules, guidelines, and practices, reporting unsafe conditions immediately, and adhering to safety and security policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensures product accuracy and integrity by scanning products correctly, matching item codes, and reporting all damages to supervisors.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and reports discrepancies to supervisors.
• Knowledgeable about multiple accounts and job functions within the given operation.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
• Ability to use a handheld RF Scan Device.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, and reach above shoulder level.
• Experience or willingness to receive training in Food Safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least one year of related experience in a warehouse or similar setting.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications.

Benefits

Allen Distribution offers competitive compensation, including a wage of $19.00 per hour plus a $1.50 shift differential. Additional benefits may include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
