Forklift Operator- 1st Shift - 6:00am - 2:30pm - Mon - Fri

About the role

The Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in the Operations Department under the supervision of the Distribution Manager. This position requires flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supports the business goals by working the hours needed, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Remains punctual and prepared for work, completing tasks in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner.
• Maintains a positive attitude and follows company values.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and department meetings, displaying pride in the work area through daily housekeeping.
• Ensures high quality of work, adhering to the "Only Handle It Once" (OHIO) principle.
• Fulfills all written and verbal instructions, reporting issues promptly.
• Adheres to safety protocols, reporting any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and reports discrepancies to supervisors.
• Knowledgeable about multiple accounts and job functions within the given operation.

Requirements

• Able to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
• Able to use a handheld RF Scan Device.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Able to perform tasks requiring twisting, stooping, squatting, and reaching above shoulder level.
• Work in a non-climate controlled environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least one year of related experience preferred.

Pay

$18.00 per hour, plus a $1.50 shift differential/hourly when applicable.

Schedule

1st Shift - 6:00am - 2:30pm - Monday through Friday.
