OUTSIDE PROTECTIVE SERVICES (TEMP)

About the role

Outside Protective Services Department, reporting to the Director of Protective Services. Full‑time, hourly, non‑exempt temporary position. Seeking a dependable candidate with reliable transportation to get to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure the safety of personnel and property.
• Respond to alarms and incidents, investigate disturbances, and provide emergency assistance as needed.
• Conduct thorough security checks and inspections to identify potential risks or hazards.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns.
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security‑related activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to handle conflicts or difficult situations with professionalism and tact.
• Excellent observation skills with the ability to quickly identify potential security threats.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective incident reporting and customer interactions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high volume of alertness.
• Physical requirements: able to work outside in all weather conditions; occasionally lift, drag and/or move up to 35 lbs; body agility and equilibrium for walking, climbing, balancing; back and leg coordination for stooping, kneeling, bending, squatting, crawling, crouching; arm, hand, and finger dexterity with at least one hand for reaching, handling, feeling; good speaking, hearing, and eyesight; able to sit and stand for long periods; able to climb stairs and work in a multi‑level building.

Pay

Schedule

Evening and overnight shifts, with the possibility to pick up additional shifts temporarily.
