About the role
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Outside Plant Engineer to support the planning, design, and execution of our expanding network infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing technical expertise with field collaboration in a fast-paced and growing environment.
Responsibilities
- Create and review engineering plans, construction prints, and project documentation
- Coordinate aerial and underground fiber placement projects
- Conduct field surveys and site evaluations to support network expansion
- Collaborate with construction crews, contractors, municipalities, and internal teams
- Manage project timelines, permitting requirements, and material planning
- Support splicing layouts, connectivity planning, and service delivery initiatives
- Ensure projects comply with engineering standards, safety requirements, and company expectations
- Troubleshoot network design challenges and provide technical solutions
Requirements
- Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, maps, and utility records
- Knowledge of outside plant construction practices and telecommunications infrastructure
- Strong communication and project coordination abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Experience with CAD, GIS, or telecommunications engineering software (a plus)
- Experience in telecommunications, utilities, engineering, or construction environments (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in telecommunications, utilities, engineering, or construction
- Valid driver’s license required
Skills
- Technical proficiency in telecommunications and construction practices
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Proficiency in CAD, GIS, or other relevant software (a plus)

Pay
Pay Range: $60,000 - $90,000 per year depending on experience.
