  • Engage vendors, field technicians and internal teams to drive fault resolution and minimise service disruption.
  • Provide incident updates, outage notifications and maintenance communications to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate ticket records, complete effective shift handovers and contribute to process improvements and post‑incident reviews.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a NOC, telecommunications, fiber‑optic, network operations or related technical environment.
  • Working knowledge of dark fiber, DWDM, ILA/amplifier sites, splice points, MMVs and broader fiber‑infrastructure environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with OTDR testing and trace interpretation for fault isolation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience using ticketing and incident‑management systems in an SLA‑driven operational setting.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions during service‑impacting events.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities, capable of managing priorities and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work a rotating 24 × 7 schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Desirable: familiarity with FMS, Viavi, Ciena, Infinera, NSU or similar monitoring technologies; knowledge of Dark Fiber IRU agreements and customer outage processes; experience coordinating vendors and field resources; supporting junior engineers; contributing to RFOs, root‑cause analysis and operational documentation.

Schedule

Rotating 24 × 7 schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Benefits

  • Inclusive work environment that values diversity and respects all employees.
  • Support for reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process.
  • Opportunity to work with a strategic operational partner for critical digital infrastructure across subsea, terrestrial, wireless, data‑centre and NOC environments.
  • Focus on operational excellence, customer trust and high‑quality delivery.
