Outside Golf Operations

About the role

The Outside Golf Operations role at IMG Academy is responsible for the proactive maintenance and operations of the driving range, short game training area, and storage areas. This position oversees the daily setup and opening of the range, as well as the closing and securing of training facilities at the end of the day. It also involves managing the clearing of the range, including the collection of golf balls, and ensuring all students, guests, and staff receive exceptional guest services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily setup and opening of the range, as well as the closing and securing of training facilities at the end of the day
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of all equipment to ensure optimal functionality
• Manage the clearing of the range, including the collection of golf balls
• Treat all students, guests, and staff with exceptional guest services
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
• Other duties as assigned including staff training

Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of golf course procedures
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
• Treat all students, guests, and staff with exceptional guest services
• Must be self-motivated and customer service oriented
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliable and predictable attendance
• Able to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Follow safety practices and recognize hazards

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40 lbs
• Must be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time
• Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, stairs, etc.
