Outside Electrician - Pre Heat (Semi-Skilled)

About the role

We are looking for people who want to learn and grow within our Welding Department as we continue to build the most advanced submarines. The successful candidate will repair three-phase 240-480 volt panels and cables, read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams, and work with induction preheat. Work assignments are accomplished within various company documents, policies, procedures, and forms. Work conditions include entry into restricted areas, radiological environments, confined spaces, and high elevations.

Responsibilities

• Repair three-phase 240-480 volt panels and cables
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
• Work with induction preheat equipment
• Follow company documents, policies, procedures, and forms
• Work in restricted areas, radiological environments, confined spaces, and at high elevations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED OR 2 or more years of related technical experience
• 0 - 5 years of experience
• Ability to distinguish between colors for job performance

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in the electrical maintenance field

• Mechanical ability to repair and rebuild equipment
