Outreach Specialist

About the role

The Outreach Specialist will be the first point of contact for cancer survivors seeking care with OncoveryCare. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role involves reaching out to eligible patients, guiding them through the initial stages of their care journey, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound calls to eligible cancer survivors to introduce OncoveryCare and assist with scheduling appointments
• Ensure patients have the necessary information and technical support for their first appointment
• Send appointment confirmations and follow-up emails when needed
• Work closely with the care team to address any issues and enhance the patient experience
• Handle administrative tasks to maintain efficient onboarding processes
• Share feedback on outreach trends and patient interactions to improve workflows and the onboarding experience

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in a patient-facing, customer service, sales, or care coordination role
• A warm, professional, and empathetic phone presence
• Comfort with cold-calling and engaging patients who may not expect your call
• Sensitivity and compassion when discussing cancer and working with survivors
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with minimal oversight
• Tech-savvy and proficient with tools like EHRs, CRMs, spreadsheets, and patient communication platforms
