Outreach Services Coordinator

Description

Serves as a liaison between MercyOne Des Moines Laboratory outreach clients and laboratory staff to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Establishes, maintains, and expands the market of our existing outreach program.
• Acts as a resource to the Outreach Director to promote the available clinical and anatomical services of MCL to the medical community.
• Serves as an account manager for laboratory outreach clients (current and new).
• Maintains an accurate database of client demographics, visits, and follow up.
• Counsels onboarding of new clients.
• Makes customer service calls and on-site visits to gather information, answer questions, and serve as a liaison for the laboratory.
• Develops business growth strategies to increase laboratory sales from current and new clients.
• Conducts annual client satisfaction surveys. Utilizes the data to identify and implement process improvements.
• Develops and maintains client fee schedules and corresponding laboratory service agreements (contracts).
• Communicates feedback (positive and improvements) with laboratory leadership.
• Coordinates and/or presents in-services and provides educational material to clients.
• Maintains a working knowledge of laboratory systems to facilitate real-time assistance with basic operations.
• Participates in quality initiatives, including identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Promotes professionalism within the department, hospital, and community; acts as a role model.
• Serves on hospital and laboratory committees as approved by the Director, Outreach Services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Five years previous laboratory experience preferred.
• Marketing and sales experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s/chauffeur’s license required.
