OUTREACH, RECRUITMENT, AND INTERNSHIP PROGRAM SPECIALIST
Priority screening deadline: July 31, 2026. Position is open until filled. This is a grant-funded position scheduled to end on June 30, 2027; continued employment is contingent upon funding.
Hourly hiring range: $26.44. Salary placement is determined by education, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and departmental fiscal resources.
About the Role
The Outreach, Recruitment, and Internship Program Specialist provides organizational and administrative support to the Department of Social Work at CSU Monterey Bay.
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting, screening, developing, evaluating, and retaining field practicum sites and field instructors at generalist and advanced generalist sites.
- Maintain the field practicum directory and field database, including current agency information and agency documentation compliance (Cal State S4).
- Assist with developing, scheduling, planning, and supporting field practicum education projects and activities.
- Coordinate and facilitate outreach activities targeting diverse and underrepresented rural communities.
- Develop and facilitate informational sessions in local communities, professional conferences, and public or nonprofit agencies.
- Participate in staff career fairs, providing career education information to attendees and county employees.
Requirements
- Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE-accredited program, or Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 years of relevant experience.
- Compliance with confidentiality requirements under FERPA and California Educational Code Chapter 13 regarding sensitive student issues.
- Designated as a mandated reporter under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act; must comply with applicable CSU Executive Orders, including Title IX reporting requirements.
- Occasional evenings and/or weekend work may be required.
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check in accordance with the California Fair Chance Act.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in social work.
- Social work experience with diverse populations.
- Experience working in interprofessional settings.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Gmail (including Calendar and Docs), and internet browsers.
- Highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
