Outreach Adviser (Schools)

About the role

We are recruiting four Outreach Advisers (Schools) to join our team on an exciting new project based in Darlington.

Responsibilities

• Engage skilfully with clients who are vulnerable, distressed and have complex advice needs.
• Build strong working relationships within the community and with other local organizations.
• Provide an effective advice service in the community to local residents.
• Understand written and oral information of some complexity.
• Compile accurate financial statements and calculate benefits.
• Communicate clearly and manage your time effectively.
• Provide generalist advice across all enquiry areas.
• Make a positive and enduring impact on families in Darlington.

Requirements

• A deep sense of empathy and compassion.
• Strong numeracy and writing skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to communicate clearly and manage your time effectively.
• Experience in providing generalist advice across all enquiry areas.
• The drive to make a difference in people’s lives.

Pay

£28,403 per annum.

Schedule

37 hours per week (Part time can be considered).
