Outpatient Treatment Clinician - Behavioral Health - FT - Day

Full time, first shift (days, less than 12 hours per shift), 40 hours per week. Non-exempt position.

About the role

Outpatient Treatment Clinicians are professionals trained and licensed to provide psychotherapy services to patients and their families. This includes assessment and evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge of outpatient mental health patients, as well as referral to other psychiatric, psychological, and medical services as appropriate. Clinicians provide services in a clinic setting under a state-approved Clinical Supervision Plan and are actively working toward licensure at the clinical level, operating under the supervision of Clinical Supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Perform intake and assessment of patients, including mental status exams, collection of relevant psychosocial history, diagnosis of psychiatric presentations, and development of individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, objectives, and outcomes.
• Develop discharge plans that effectively support the patient at home or in the community.
• Utilize the DSM-V for accurate diagnosis and demonstrate familiarity with psychological reports, psychopharmacology, and treatment modalities for common mental health diagnoses (e.g., depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis).
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy as appropriate.
• Maintain a high standard of practice, with treatment plans reviewed by the Director of Clinical Services/Clinical Supervisors.
• Initiate discharge planning at admission by assisting patients in identifying treatment goals, timelines, and realistic expectations concerning treatment and prognosis.
• Meet productivity standards and demonstrate flexibility to meet patient and clinic scheduling needs.
• Participate in and present at multidisciplinary team meetings when required.
• Adhere to organizational and department standards for punctuality, attendance, documentation, HIPAA, and corporate compliance.
• Support the mission and goals of Stormont Vail Behavioral Health Services.
• Ensure services meet minimum requirements specified by CMS, Kancare, and other major insurance entities.
• Comply with all Stormont Vail Health policies, standards, mandatory training, and requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy.
• 1 year of experience in behavioral health care.
• Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) by KSBSRB, or LMLP, LPC, or LMFT licensed by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board at the Master’s Level.
• Must establish a state-approved Clinical Supervision Plan within 90 days of hire.
