Outpatient Therapist - Department of Juvenile Justice
About the role
This opportunity allows you to provide comprehensive clinical assessments and therapeutic interventions for adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system at our local probation offices. As an outpatient therapist with HCS at DJJ you will enjoy a dynamic, fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same. You will also work closely with probation officers to assist adolescents on probation in reaching their goals through interventions surrounding trauma, substance use, anger management, and other important life skills. Licensed eligible individuals will receive weekly clinical supervision toward licensure.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for adolescents in the juvenile justice system
- Provide therapeutic interventions focused on trauma, substance use, anger management, and life skills
- Collaborate with probation officers to support adolescents in achieving their goals
Requirements
- Master’s degree eligible to seek Licensure for Supervision in Virginia or LPC, LCSW, LMFT
- Two years’ experience in mental health or substance use preferred

Pay
Licensed Eligible: $55,000 – $57,000
Licensed: $60,000 – $70,000
Compensation commensurate with education and experience.
