Job Summary
The Outpatient Specialty Pharmacists at Buffalo General Medical Center are trained on specialty medications and medical conditions. They provide patient care, adhere to policies, and act as clinical subject matter experts.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care and use clinical knowledge to manage complex therapies and conditions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, including REMS, patient education, and disease state management.
- Report pharmacovigilance data and support healthcare practitioners, including pharmacists, providers, nurses, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required.
- Doctor of Pharmacy preferred.
- PGY-1 Post Graduate Year Residency preferred.
- One year of experience as a pharmacist or pharmacy intern.
- Two years of experience dispensing complex medications in an institutional or specialty pharmacy setting.
Qualifications
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification within one year of hire.
Skills
- Strong clinical knowledge and discretion.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex patient cases.
- Experience with pharmacovigilance and disease state management.

Pay
- Salary range: $109,414.50 - $150,442.50.
- Wage determined by experience, qualifications, internal equity, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
