About the Role

The Outpatient Pharmacist - Specialty supports retail pharmacy services, ensures compliance with regulations, and manages complex medication therapies for specialized disease states. They collaborate with healthcare providers to safely dispense specialty medications, provide in-depth patient counseling, and educate patients on medication use.

Responsibilities

• Handle and review clinical data to ensure medication safety
• Streamline specialty product dispensing in coordination with providers
• Supervise and develop pharmacy team members
• Interact with other pharmacy departments on compliance issues
• Deliver patient education and counseling on specialty medications

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting
• PharmB, MScPhm, or PharmD degree
• Current Maryland pharmacist license or eligibility

Skills

• Strong knowledge of clinical data review and medication safety
• Excellent patient communication and teamwork skills
