Outpatient - Physician Endocrinology and Diabetes - 100K Sign-on Bonus

About the role

Mount Nittany Physician Group Endocrinology is seeking a full-time Endocrinologist to join their busy, well-established practice. Located in State College, PA, Mount Nittany Medical Center is a 260-bed acute care facility that offers all of the luxuries of a college town including short commutes, NCAA Sports, arts, high-quality schools, and outdoor recreation.

Responsibilities

• Examines patient for symptoms of organic or congenital disorders and determines nature and extent of injury or disorder using medical instruments and equipment.
• Elicits and records information about patient's medical history.
• Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition.
• Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examination, and diagnoses condition.
• Administers or prescribes therapeutic procedures, treatments, and drugs as indicated by diagnosis.
• Advises patients concerning diet, hygiene, activities, and methods for prevention of disease.
• Takes emergency call on a rotating basis on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Refers patients to other medical specialists when indicated.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and follows HIPAA guidelines in accordance with federal law.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• A BC/BE Endocrinology license in good standing.
• Experience in outpatient settings preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• A current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics.
• Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Endocrinology.

• Knowledge of endocrine system disorders.
• Experience with diabetes management.
• Strong clinical skills.
• Effective communication skills.
