About the role
The Supervisor is a licensed pharmacist with knowledge and proficiency in pharmacy practice and administration. Responsibilities include the professional and administrative management of pharmacy operations, service, and day-to-day operations. Collaboration with leadership is required to develop, implement, and maintain systems that promote safe, effective, and efficient processes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Leadership to develop, implement, and maintain systems promoting safe, effective, and efficient processes.
- Part of the Operations Management Team and responsible for pharmacist staffing and supervision and coordination of daily work activities of pharmacy staff members' schedules and assignments.
- Serve as a resource to the assigned staff regarding specific skill demonstration, promotion of knowledge, communication, and provide ongoing education, coaching, and mentorship in reference to policy.
- Work to enhance and maintain services and ensure hospital outcomes are met. Support initiatives to improve outpatient pharmacy services.
- Maintain and promote compliance with 340b practices.
- Respond to immediate service interruptions and/or concerns to ensure a satisfactory service recovery.
- Adjust resources to meet operational needs within budget allocation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD Required
- 3 years experience working in retail/community pharmacy Required
- 2 Years Experience Working In Specialty Pharmacy Preferred
- 2 years experience supervision or managing an outpatient pharmacy practice or similar practice Preferred
- PA Pharmacist License Required
