About the role

AASL is a family-owned, pediatric private practice in Tampa and Valrico, FL, offering speech-language, occupational, social skills, feeding, and reading/writing therapy. We work with clients of all abilities, from early childhood through young adulthood. Our therapies support individuals to acquire communication and functional life skills to grow as unique and special people and thrive within their respective communities.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat pediatric clients, ages 18 months old to teenagers and young adults
  • Utilize a full inventory of diagnostic tests and therapy materials to support clients in acquiring communication and functional life skills
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support each child’s development and growth
  • Participate in mentorship support and cohort meetings to discuss clients and therapy interventions
  • Contribute to annual goal setting to encourage client growth and development

Requirements

  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Experience assessing and treating pediatric clients
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for helping children and families

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
  • Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques
