About the role
The Speech/Language Pathologist would evaluate and treat patients, in accordance with orders from the physician, through the use of therapeutic procedures designed to improve speech, language, swallowing and hearing disorders to overcome disabilities from a variety of causes. The Speech/Language Pathologist will work as a member of a team providing support and information within the area of Speech/Language Pathology. In addition, the Speech/Language Pathologist will educate and inform parents and guardians.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients, in accordance with orders from the physician, through the use of therapeutic procedures designed to improve speech, language, swallowing and hearing disorders to overcome disabilities from a variety of causes.
- Work as a member of a team providing support and information within the area of Speech/Language Pathology.
- Inform parents and guardians about therapy services.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Current state license/certification
- Preferrably minimum one (1) year experience in pediatric speech pathology
- New graduates encouraged to apply
- Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to provide therapy services at our outpatient clinic at times to accommodate the needs of our clients
- Demonstrate competency in applying the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in specific therapy discipline
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements
