Outpatient Occupational Therapist - Senior Living Visits

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Outpatient Occupational Therapist for a Part-Time or Per Diem opportunity throughout Baltimore County, Maryland. This position services seniors under their home health benefit within 1-2 communities only—home health without the typical commute. You will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team providing rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, enabling them to receive medical care at home.

Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient therapy evaluations to develop a plan of care for patients in designated senior living communities or group home settings for adults with intellectual disabilities.
• Operate at the top of licensure using current research-based approaches to maximize functional independence for clients.
• Collaborate with home health therapy partners to transition care from home health to outpatient services, ensuring client-centered goals are met in their living environment.
• Educate clients, families, and community caregivers on care plans to achieve a team approach for functional independence.
• Conduct evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning using an outpatient EMR platform to document individualized treatment approaches.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland Occupational Therapist license.
• Minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist (prior home care experience preferred but not required).
• Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, as indicated by school transcript or diploma.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.

Pay

Base pay, depending on qualifications: $48.00–$55.00 per hour.
