The Meadows on University is looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Outpatient team. We train our therapists in dementia care and provide mentoring in topics like standardized testing, cognitive retraining, family and caregiver training, and skilled maintenance programming. Our facilities deliver outstanding care and foster strong employee bonds, offering short-term to long-term care with a variety of living options and professional clinical services. About the role

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the highest quality of resident care, support staff, and establish a positive reputation in the community while delivering on the Eduro HealthCare Values of wellness, compassion, customer experience, and company results.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate a Resident’s condition and develop an appropriate occupational rehabilitation plan.
  • Help Residents improve their mobility.
  • Assist Residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
  • Inform Residents what they should anticipate in different stages of their recovery and how they will handle each situation.
  • Maintain Resident confidence and protect facility operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Supervise the activities of occupational therapy assistants when required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
  • Contribute to inter-disciplinary team efforts in resident care.

Requirements

  • Must hold current and active OT license or registration in the state employed.
  • Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.
  • Completion of orientation required by company policy.
  • Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment.
  • Become familiar with and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job.
  • Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
  • Occupational Therapy License (Required).
  • Ability to commute to Fargo, ND (Required).
