Outpatient MRI Technologist - Part-Time

About the role

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) reports to the site supervisor and the radiology manager. Under general supervision, the MRI Technologist performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations for physician interpretation. Other duties as deemed necessary.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited school of imaging. Registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) in MRI. Must obtain registry within 1 year of hire.

• Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision. Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment. Must be familiar with age-specific criteria.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

• Proactively maintains and renews ARRT, state license, BLS, PPD, respirator fit test, and POC training.

• Graduated from an accredited imaging program. Registry eligible ARRT(MR) Must obtain MRI registration within 1 year of hire date.

• BLS Experience: 1-2 years

Skills

• General MRI exams, implants, elastography, and defecography.

• Rotate to other locations as needed for training/staffing.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.

• Work Experience: 0-2 years of modality specific experience required.

• Registration/Certifications: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). ARRT MRI registration required within one year. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
