About the role
MOR is a leading orthopedic program at Rush University Medical Center, known for its innovative approaches and top-tier care. The MRI Technologist position is available at the Orthopedic Building in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities
- Maintain appropriate levels of supplies.
- Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and remove metal objects.
- Provide patient education and training for student technologists.
- Coordinate scheduling and patient flow.
- Start IVs, administer contrast media as directed.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the MRI facility.
- Operate the MRI scanner, including setup, modification of scanning parameters, quality assurance testing, and basic troubleshooting.
- Document work processes as required.
- Communicate with patients, prepare them for scans, provide immediate medical assistance, and document incidents and accidents.
- Research and document any questionable implanted devices.
- Accurately interpret physician scanning instructions.
- Comply with all client facilities policies, procedures, and practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate knowledge of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Interact effectively with patients and support team members.
Requirements
- Graduate of an ARRT-approved program.
- Minimum of 3 years of MRI orthopedic experience.
- One year of Siemens MR Scanners experience.
- MRI Certification required.
- X-Ray Certification and experience required.

Pay
$38.00 - $47.00 per hour.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday - Friday, no weekends or holidays.
