Outpatient Mental Health Therapist (LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC)

Pay

Salary range: $55,000 to $120,000.

About the role

Providing mental health counseling to the elderly population residing in assisted living facilities. The position involves individual, group, and family therapy, coordination with caregivers and providers, and travel to client locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual, group, and/or family therapy to elderly clients.
• Coordinate care with caregivers and other providers as appropriate.
• Travel to assisted‑living facilities throughout Genesee County, Eastern Lapeer County, and Northern Oakland County.
• Document treatment objectives, techniques, and individual care plans in a web‑based, HIPAA‑compliant EHR.
• Ensure documentation meets insurance billing requirements.
• Address the unique needs of the aging population served.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Licensed as LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, or LLPC (limited licensed social work candidates may receive supervision).
• Experience providing counseling to the elderly population is desirable but not required.
• Effective communication skills and ability to use a web‑based EHR.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel to client residences.
• Ability to create clear, concise documentation and individual care plans.
