Role Overview

The Clinician provides psychotherapy to patients across all ages in clinical settings, utilizing individualized techniques and interventions. They conduct initial mental health evaluations, develop treatment plans with specific goals, and deliver ongoing therapy through individual and group sessions. The role includes case management, referrals, discharge planning, and coordinating care with caregivers, providers, and support agencies, ensuring appropriate level of care and transitions. The clinician completes timely, compliant clinical documentation, maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA and state laws, and assists with service authorization when needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) as per Illinois regulations.
  • Experience providing psychotherapy in clinical settings.
  • Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills; professional, friendly demeanor; ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and clarify goals.
