Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Gastroenterology
About the role
Inova Gastroenterology is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team. This role is a full-time day position, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction and supervision of the RN.
- Maintains and reviews patient medical records, notes, and physician orders while documenting all patient care activities in accordance with documentation standards.
- Participates on unit teams, work groups, and/or committees.
- Participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Vocational / Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing
- License: Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Experience: 0 years of experience
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association
Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience as an LPN or Medical Assistant
