Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with state regulations and facility policies.
  • Support and guide caregiving staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
  • Assist with resident assessments, care planning, and ongoing monitoring of changes in condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and established protocols.
  • Maintain professional relationships with physicians, office staff, pharmacies, and healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Nurse Consultant and community leadership to support clinical best practices.
  • Support orientation and training of care team members as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and home-like environment for residents.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
  • Experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, caregivers, and healthcare partners.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for senior care and resident advocacy.
  • Alignment with Americare’s mission, values, and culture.
  • Desire to contribute to a positive, caring community environment.

Physical Demands

  • Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed.
  • Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance.
  • Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.

Pay

$26 to $27 hourly

Schedule

Part time (8 or 12 hour shift), 1st shift
