Outpatient Lead Therapist

About the role

FT Beckett Springs, part of Lifepoint Behavioral Health, is seeking passionate, patient-centric, and goal-oriented team members to join our compassionate behavioral health services team. We specialize in crisis stabilization, inpatient care, and outpatient treatment for acute mental health and substance use treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapy and counseling therapies to patients suffering from psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. Therapies include group, individual, and family.
• Accurately and timely document patient interactions and communications.
• Communicate actively with clients, families, and outside referral sources, adhering to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 guidelines.
• Demonstrate proactive communication with those involved in the patient’s treatment, documenting all correspondence.
• Participate in treatment planning for patients, revising the plan as necessary to create new goals.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff, demonstrating active communication and working with the utilization review department.
• Create thorough discharge plans for patients, ensuring they meet their after-care needs and that appropriate paperwork is provided to patients and family members or referral sources in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling or relevant licensure in state of practice.
• Current unencumbered state licensure per state requirements.
• CPR and CPI Certification within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact.
• Prior work experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
