Outpatient Hand Therapist

About the role

NovaCare River Hill (MD) is seeking a full-time Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or Occupational Therapist to treat various upper extremity disorders, including tendon injuries, sprains, strains, post-operative fractures, and more. We are seeking a skilled hand therapist experienced in custom splinting. The Hand Therapist will collaborate with our regional hand therapy coordinator to ensure you have the resources needed for success. CHT credentials are not required for consideration.

You must have at least 2-3 years of prior hand therapy experience and be comfortable working as a solo hand therapist within our Clarksville, Maryland, outpatient center. Your full-time schedule will include some evenings, with flexibility in this salaried 32-40-hour workweek. No weekends!

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, treat, re-evaluate, discharge, and communicate high-quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
• Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs.
• Maintain positive interactions with facilities and clients, enhancing and expanding client relations.
• Stay current with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence-Based Practice.
• Demonstrate marketing experience and solid experience in custom splinting for pre- and post-op orthopedic care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school for Occupational or Physical Therapy.
• Hold specialty certification or licensure in hand therapy (CHT preferred but not required).
• National registration and state licensure or registration required.
• CPR certification and valid state driver’s license.
• At least 2-3 years of prior hand therapy experience.

Pay

$90,000 - $110,000 annual salary, with bonus incentives up to $20,000 available.

Schedule

Full-time, 32-40 hours per week, including some evenings. No weekends!
