About the Role

Serves food and beverage to guests throughout the restaurant, greets guests in a positive manner, and promotes positive guest/employee relations. Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures. Other assignments as directed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of high-volume service experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Ability to deliver a service level that creates a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Commitment to exceeding position responsibilities to support organizational goals.
  • Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English.

Work Environment

Duties are performed on the Casino Floor in a fast-paced, guest-smoking environment with constant exposure to the general public and excessive noise. The role requires frequent standing, walking, use of hands, reaching, talking, hearing, bending, stooping, and carrying/moving weights up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Employment Process

Candidates must obtain gaming licensure by successfully completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations prior to employment. Background checks may include credit checks, criminal background checks, and drug screens.

Native American Preference Policy

The Tribal Council gives preference in all employment practices to Native Americans. First preference is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
