Outlet Retail Supervisor

About the role

The Outlet Retail Supervisor assists the Outlet Retail Manager in the operation of the Outlet. They are responsible for maintaining an optimum level of merchandise rotations.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign employees
• Instruct, coach, and identify training needs
• Interview, assist with hiring, evaluate, and discipline employees
• Resolve workplace problems
• Prepare reports
• Maintain clear communication with the Store Manager
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Perform the functions of Sales Associate when needed
• Operate mechanical equipment as assigned (Balers, tipper, and Electronic Conveyor Belt)
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Uphold safe work practices in support of a safety culture through awareness and observation; train and educate employees of safety requirements; report any potential hazards or accidents
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Goodwill’s policies and applicable laws

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in retail environment
• Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience
• Familiar with time-keeping software
