Outlet Host/Hostess

About the role

The Host greets, seats, and pages guests, serving as the initial point of contact for Hard Rock International venues. They assume roles as tour guides, communicators, entertainers, and memorabilia curators, often taking on additional responsibilities like security and assisting servers.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and thanking guests
• Answering questions accurately and politely
• Maintaining a clean and organized waiting area
• Answering the phone
• Directing guests to areas and restrooms
• Assisting servers, bussers, and managers
• Performing opening, closing, and side duties such as cleaning glass, polishing brass, sweeping, vacuuming the floor, wiping menus, and restroom maintenance
• Assuring the complete satisfaction of each guest
• Creating memorable experiences
• Entertaining guests to create “Raving fans”

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Positive and outwardly friendly attitude
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Organizational and attention-to-detail skills
• Physical demands: standing, walking, kneeling, bending, moving objects up to 10 pounds, making repetitive arm, hand, and wrist movements, expressing and exchanging ideas verbally, and perceiving sound by ear

Qualifications

• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and noisy environments
• Ability to travel for long periods

Skills

• Remaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced environment
• Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude towards guests and co-workers
