Overview

Provide guests exceptional service to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance with corporate/franchise policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations while meeting or exceeding financial goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Check station before, during, and after shift for proper set‑up and cleanliness.
• Greet guests courteously, explain specials and restaurant promotions.
• Record order details, repeat the order to the guest for accuracy.
• Input orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system to inform the kitchen.
• Retrieve orders up to 30 lb from the kitchen, confirm accuracy, and deliver to guests with appropriate condiments.
• Abide by all state, federal, and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Replenish beverages as needed and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Market and serve dessert items or specialty coffees upon request.
• Operate POS procedures to pre‑check orders and close out checks.
• Present the check to guests promptly.
• Comply with attendance rules and maintain regular availability.
• Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Willingness to “pitch‑in,” help co‑workers, and be a team player.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Understanding of appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
• Capability to transport large trays weighing up to 30 lb through a crowded room continuously, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
• Operate a keyboard and learn POS procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; adapt communication style to suit different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.

Pay

Salary Range: $20.00 – $20.00 hourly. Tipped/Service Charge Eligible: Yes. Discretionary Performance Bonus Eligible: No.
