Outdoor Technician

About the role

Stratton is seeking an Outdoor Technician to maintain exterior resort areas, ensuring the resort remains safe, clean, and well-kept for guests and employees. This full-time position offers both seasonal and year-round opportunities, with compensation ranging from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with snow removal around the resort, including shoveling, plowing, ice chipping, salting, and sanding
• Perform landscaping duties such as mowing lawns, tree trimming, mulching, weed eating, weeding beds, and shoveling
• Help with the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of events
• Coordinate daily and weekly tasks with supervisors and shift leads
• Assist with daily setup and breakdown of all lodge areas
• Empty trash, recycling, and compost bins; pick up ground litter around the resort
• Prepare daily logs and incident reports
• Attend department safety meetings
• Manage and maintain vehicles, tools, and inventory of supplies
• Assist indoor custodial teams when needed, including cleaning windows, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash bins, and painting
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Experience with snow removal and/or landscaping is a plus
• Valid Driver’s license required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Reliable attendance
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Positive attitude
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
