Position Summary

Position Title: Outdoor Program - Challenge Course Facilitator. Individual will be responsible for leading group initiatives on the Outdoor Program Challenge Course. This position includes prep, setup, take down, safety, and group orientation. This position also requires some knowledge of challenge course operation and facilitation.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with groups in a challenge course or a challenge education setting
  • CPR /AED and Standard First Aid certifications are required prior to working at the OP.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles etc., using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Maintaining equilibrium to prevent falling.
  • Walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
  • Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
  • Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
  • Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.

  • Grasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
  • Finding. Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important instructions to other workers accurately or quickly.
  • Ability to receive detailed information with or without assistance.
