Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Take tickets and interact with guests entering and exiting shows
- Answer guests’ questions related to the event, the property and/or its amenities
- Monitor guests to ensure event rules/regulations are followed
- Be familiar with Venue Emergency Evacuation Procedure, and be able to assist and direct guests as needed
- Notify guests of policies; and alert security as needed
- Greet guests and provide usher services within venue sections to ensure guests are seated in the correct location represented on their ticket
Knowledge And Certification, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge and Certification Required: 1 year hospitality or guest service experience
- Skills Required: Accurate and detail-oriented, Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Abilities Required: Ability to work fast and efficiently, Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene, Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner, Ability to serve both internal and external customers, Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice, Ability to enthusiastically and professionally up-sell property amenities
RESTRICTIONS
- Must be 18 years of age or older to work events with adult content
Required Training
- Treasure Island guest service training
- Any position-related training as determined by department manager
- TIPS training and certification
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to walk and / or stand for periods of up to 8 hours
- Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel
- Must be able to reach and twist routinely
- Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
- Must have the ability to independently lift up to 15 pounds routinely
- Must be able to stack removable chairs
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
- Must have good eye hand coordination
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Work is performed primarily in concert venues (outdoors)
- Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
- Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions
- Occasionally overtime may be required
- Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
- High volume direct public contact
