Seasonal - Recreation Attendant
About the role
This position is responsible for assisting and providing support to the recreation department by arranging, executing, and observing all indoor and outdoor activities and ensuring they are done so in a safe manner. Using a creative assortment of methods, assist in the promotion of recreation operations and activities to internal and external sources.
This is a seasonal position with targeted start and end dates: Season Start: July 29, 2026, Season End: October 2026. Hours will fluctuate as business levels rise and fall throughout the season. Peak season, with the most hours, is typically May – October.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily operations of the Village Pavilion, Nelson Farm, and any family activities.
- Facilitate, implement, and coordinate outdoor programs including hiking and biking trips, group/convention recreation, employee, and special events programming.
- Manage daily/seasonal operations for the Village Pavilion, including bike, boat, sport equipment, and ice-skating rentals.
- Assist with development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and emergency action plans manuals for all department associates.
- Oversee daily operation and functions of all programs, including staffing changes based on participant numbers, inventory, supplies, and overall appearance of facilities.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, registration, waiver forms, and cashiering to satisfy administrative and accounting needs.
- Provide ongoing training and coordinate with sales and convention service managers on group-related activities.
- Support the Recreation Manager with facilitation, implementation, and coordination of activities programs, including youth programs, teen and family programming, group recreation, employee and special events programming, and new facility programming.
- Attend weekly, monthly, or quarterly team meetings.
- Regularly promote Suncadia activities and programs by being knowledgeable of all outlets, upcoming activities, and special events; positively respond to guest inquiries.
- Assist with the promotion and distribution of marketing materials.
- Institute safety regulations; maintain a safe and pleasant work environment; instill a safe work ethic in staff; establish safety guidelines for staff to follow before engaging in any type of program with guests; ensure a high level of safety and comfort for all guests during activities.
- Maintain and improve the appearance of all facilities and equipment.
Qualifications
- Available to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions.
- Previous experience in recreation or hospitality is a plus.
- Energetic self-starter with a strong work ethic.
Pay
$17.50 per hour.
